Regular training in the HRS improves "Lactate Buffering"

The physiological benefits of exercise in the HRS environment give professional athletes the edge over their rivals. By exercising in the hypoxic environment aerobic endurance as well as lactate tolerance is enhanced.

The graph below shows the expected improvements in lactate threshold after regular training in the hypoxic environment inside the HRS.

By improving lactate tolerance, a power athlete can directly benefit from using the HRS with:
  • Reduced recovery times between explosive exercises such as sprinting.
  • Improved strength endurance.
  • Reduced blood lactate level at given intensity resulting in less fatigue and more power.
